Let's Hear it for the Girls is a all female Show case featuring some of the most talented women on the West coast.
Featuring Nanaimo's sweethearts, The Femme Fatales and The Queen of Vancouver's R&B community, Eliza Smith.
Eliza will be doing a original set and then will join The Femme's on their whole set.
Eliza’s sultry style of rap influenced RnB has been steadily gaining attention from the epicenter of her home in Vancouver. Following the success of her initial EP “Born Knowing”, Eliza is proud to release her debut full length, ‘Paradigm’.
Eliza first garnered commercial attention in 2011 with her Snak the Ripper featured track, ‘Right Now’, which achieved heavy rotation on The Beat, 94.5fm in Vancouver and later won her the “Best in BC” Contest at Virgin Radio.
Eliza’s 2012 single, ‘Replace Me’ (Reliant/Warner Music), charted successfully on Canada’s Hot A/C charts and generated music industry accolades including a Bell Media Emerging artist award.
Eliza has toured extensively in North America and Asia and has been called on to share the stage with Juno winners K’Naan, Swollen Members and Jully Black, along with hip hop legends, B-Real of Cypress Hill, Jadakiss, Juicy J and Wu-Tang’s Raekwon.
The Femme Fatales, from Nanaimo, British Columbia, are a high-energy, versatile ,ALL female dance band that is taking hold of Vancouver Island’s music scene. With strong vocals, thick harmonies, tight instrumentation, and captivating stage presence, this four piece band is armed with some of the most talented women of the west coast music scene. From creative medleys and mash ups, to funky bass lines and stacked vocal harmonies, there is something for everyone. With talented musicians, and a all female presence, The Femme Fatales will put on a show that you’re sure to remember.
The Femmes have been busy working on their debut album with Rick Salt and Rob The Viking and have shared stages with Wide Mouth Mason, Collective Soul, Aaron Lee and Darby Mills to name a few.
New to the community, "Girl Named Jake" will open the show and leave you breathless with her powerful voice and deliverence.
