The live entertainment scene has been on life support for the past year and is in much need of help to recover.
Musicians, sound & lighting technicians, promoters & venues haven't been able to do what they normally do to support themselves, and we still don't see a clear end in sight to when they can get back to regular work.
Got Pop? Concerts & Elise Boulanger, together with the help of SoundON, Creative BC & the Province of British Columbia present an online live-stream concert series showcasing Van Isle musicians starting at 6pm PST each Saturday evening mid-June to mid-July, live on stage at The Queen's Hotel on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw. Although there will be no in-person audience, the four shows can be viewed online through buying a weekly ticket. Performing will be twelve of Vancouver Island's most talented musicians. Each artist will select a charity or local business of their choice to raise funds for !
We hope by putting on this series that we will be able to help support our Vancouver Island communities as much as possible through these uncertain times. We are also partnering with several local restaurants to cross-promote a 'Dinner & A Show' theme where people can purchase their live-stream ticket while buying a take-out meal and support local business and local musicians at the same time!
