Born and raised in Queens, New York, Frederika Ionescu is a jazz vocalist living on Vancouver Island, BC. Starting her music career in the Classical realm with violin and piano, she slowly realized that she wanted to become a vocalist. Now graduated with her Bachelor’s degree from Vancouver Island University in Jazz Studies, she devotes her time to teaching and singing jazz and its many subgenres.

Frederika has been fortunate to share the stage with great Canadian musicians: Alex Coleman, Ken Lister, Hans Verhoeven, Joe Poole, Bernie Senensky, Nick Peck, Ryan Oliver, Tim Hamel, and many more as her career expands.

With her talented band, Frederika will bring you through a journey of music ranging from jazz standards, modern jazz compositions and some of her original music.
