Saturday, September 23rd at 7, it's Uncle Wiggly's Hot Shoes Blues Band!
Uncle Wiggly's Hot Shoes Blues Band have been around Victoria since 1978. They were a mainstay on the Blues Bar A circuit on the Island, Lower Mainland and Western Canada for many years. They signed with RCA Record in 1981 and released an Album that gained popularity, air play and many accolades for the band... opening doors to share the stage with Muddy Waters three times, Joe Cocker three times, George Thorogood, Paul Butterfield and many more.
They have continued to play number of shows every year for the past 46 years. They represented BC at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2015, they were inducted into the Royal City Music Project's Hall of Fame in the Blues Category... They did a reunion show this past January at the Queens and packed the house and the dance floor. So they are back by popular demand for …another show… if you dug hearing them back in the day at Harpo's or the Sub Pub at U-Vic then you do not want to miss this show as it will be the last performance in Nanaimo at the Queen's as they are retiring this band after an amazing and fun run... The members will continue playing music in their various other bands and trios so you will see them around town but not all together as Uncle Wiggly's... we would love to see your face in the place...
Get your Tickets early and avoid disappointment... Tickets $20 advance at the Queen's or $25 at the Door.
