Their thing is to carefully pluck gems from the extensive catalogues of vintage folk, blues, and international music (especially klezmer), then plug in, crank it up loud and hammer the material out in a manner, as Wise has previously stated, ‘like Black Sabbath would do it.’

CAVEMAN & THE BANSHEE (Nanaimo Rock City BC)

Caveman Dave pounds his riff heavy bass lines over top classic drum machine block rockin’ beats, while Banshee Valentina wails tales of childhood, time travel, burning bridges and wanton lust above it all. Influences include the Plasmatics, Public Enemy, Nina Hagen, early Misfits, psychedelic horror films, underground house shows, Yoko Ono & Atari Teenage Riot.

VOID DJs (Nanaimo Rock City BC)

You know them from their many amazing projects and endeavours: Wyrd Wealth, Behaviours, Shearing Pinx, Earthball, Crotch etc etc etc. Lose your mind as they spin gold from their amazing record collections.
